Photography
GCSE Photography is for creative students who enjoy playing with imagery, who like being arty and love taking photographs! However, it is not all about taking photos; you will be required to research photographers and develop your own ideas. Over the course, you will develop your creativity, imagination and knowledge through sustained projects. You will learn about a variety of photographic media, techniques and processes including hands-on experimentation with traditional and digital media.
Pupils will select from a range of study areas within photography including portraiture, landscape or still life photography. Pupils will build a portfolio over the year consisting of different projects and for the final unit, there is a controlled assignment, which must be completed under exam conditions over a 10 hour period.
