Fit to Learn
Fit to Learn is an intervention aimed at developing a pupil’s potential by allowing them to take control of their own physiology. This in turn allows for the best foundation for learning and to maximise a pupil’s overall health and well-being.
Research has shown that pupils will continue to struggle cognitively and understand basic concepts unless they are able to change their basic physiology.
The intervention works by daily completing short activities daily. These are a mixture of games, puzzles and movements which develop motor skills, sound processing skills and visual skills. The key areas of focus within this intervention are as follows:
- Postural control, core strength and coordination.
- Auditory processing skills.
- Visual skills
- Motor sensory integration.
- Problem solving skills.
- Resilience.
