The Rowans Outreach Support provides high-quality support and advice to schools and pupils to enable pupils to succeed in their mainstream schools.  We actively encourage and support the inclusion of children in full time education settings by nurturing their social, emotional and physical health and well-being, promoting self-esteem and independence. The main aim of the Outreach Service is to support pupils to successfully access learning in a mainstream setting with their peers.  Outreach support is personalised and bespoke to each pupil and a plan will be decided between all parties once the referral is accepted. The outreach support is provided by outstanding practitioners who have a proven track record of delivering support to pupils enabling sustainable change.

The Rowans Primary is a new SEN Primary Provision focused on providing exceptional care and tailored education for children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) as their primary need.  We recognise the diverse and distinctive challenges that SEMH children face on their educational journey and we have embarked on a mission to create a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can thrive and flourish. Our vision is grounded in the belief that every child, irrespective of their individual circumstances, has the innate potential for growth and achievement. We are committed to unlocking this potential by offering an educational experience that is not only compassionate and supportive but also academically enriching.  Our team of dedicated staff is committed to the holistic development of the children. We understand that SEMH children require an educational program that goes beyond conventional learning. Our curriculum is carefully designed to address their unique needs, focusing on social and emotional development, while also catering to their academic growth.  The school is currently in a temporary purpose-built provision on the site of The Rowans AP Academy and the school benefits from sharing the resources of the secondary provision.

We will support schools, children and their families to overcome some of the barriers and challenges that they may face, re-ignite a love of learning, where it is hidden or lost and for children to make progress and thrive.

We are confident that working together in partnership with Medway schools, we can provide a service that will provide intensive support enabling children to access education, regulate their emotions and make progress academically and personally, whilst at the same time supporting teachers and school staff.  We are confident that we can work together to offer support for all.
